last night i had about a cup of brown sugar left, which meant making my warm brown sugar cookies – but since we had chocolate chips, i figured i’d change the recipe a bit and re-purpose it — turns out, it acts as the perfect base for delicious chocolate chip cookies! simply omit the cinnamon from my recipe and fold in chocolate chips instead – i used about 1/3 of a cup.

i’ll do some more testing soon to see how this recipe can easily be adjusted for more cookie varieties in the future — i’m thinking pumpkin spice and double chocolate next!
